Moments of 2010.

Tomorrow I’ll be back in UPLB. Tomorrow I will start a new year by fighting my struggling academic life. What a year it has been for me. Full of up’s and down’s. Cliché it may seem but time flies so fast, especially when you are enjoying each moment.

The coffee is finally kicking in; my mind is shrouded with clouds twelve minutes ago, probably the effect of a busy yesterday. Anyways, the sole purpose of blog number 4 is to have a rundown of what happened to me in the past year, 2010. Disclaimer: Sorry if I’m going to be nostalgic, I really can’t help it. LOL

Let’s start!

January
Just like 2011 I welcomed 2010 with colors and fun! Baby you’re firework c’mon show ‘em what you’re worth!
It’s the time where I gained pounds not the money (how I wish!) but calorie pounds. Of course after the holiday break, hello higschool again! The most memorable thing for me was the time where our section filmed our very first movie (for our computer project), Distraught. I would love to post our movie here on my blog!

February
Love is in the air. It’s the month of hearts and chocolates! How I wish I have a date for Valentines, but what I had was even better! I had a date with my tropas! C’mon! We watched Valentine’s Day, okay okay the movie was not that good, but we enjoyed it so much! We just love each other’s company! Hey friends if you’re reading this blog, let’s do it again! And when it’s February it’s time for PROMENADES.
Ugh! I hate our last prom! Grabe, ang tumal ng prom namen nun. Anyway the good thing is we danced our night and ka-badtripan away.

March
Okay, our last month as highschool students. Sad? I guess, sabayan mo pa ng RETREAT.It’s the first time I saw my batch mates cried and sincere. I would love to go back to that time so I can savor the moment more.
Ten, tenenen ten, ten tenen tenenenen tenen tenen tenenenen….. Graduation na! According to my classmate, this is not the last time we would see each other and that’s for sure. :D

April
We are so hyped after graduation so we need to spend time again! So our section, Einstein, decided to have our farewell swimming! We enjoyed it
minus the drowning part on my side. ; __ ; After our farewell swimming the only thing I can think of was the dreaded MedCheck. Nakakashock yun na.

May
It’s my birthday and I’ll cry if I want to, cry if I want to, cry if I want to. Yeah, you read that right, it’s my birthday month! Nothing special happened during my birthday but hey, my birthday is my birthday so it should be here! LOL College is drawing to a near, and enrollment and pre-college orientation are just steps closer to it.

June
College na! My first week in UPLB was very interesting.
I lost my wallet, with all my money in it, and it was on a Wednesday. Good thing I have high school mates in LB because if not, I don’t know what would happen to me. The other significant thing that happened to me was my roommates. Awwwww! I’m so thankful because my roommates are just COOL.

July
I’m getting the hang of college. I’m also thankful because during this month I found a church here in LB! Plus I was able to watch Acel van Ommen performed!
YEAH!

August
This is the month of the first wave of tests.
This is also the time for me to outwit, outplay and outlast. HAHA Good thing my classmate’s birthday is around the corner! I don’t mind the stressing month because there are still good times in stored.

September
Ber na! Now there are two memorable: Victory Weekend and my phone. Victory Weekend marked the new beginning of my journey with my walk with God.
My phone, hmm what about it? It’s a P990 Sony Ericsson and it’s the 4th phone I lost. Devastating? I don’t see it that way.

October
First sem is over! And for that another classmate’s birthday plus hang-out’s with my friends!
This is a stress-free month and I’m happy that I have spent it the way I liked it.

November
It was like seven months ago where we graduated and lo and behold a homecoming is on its way! It’s so fast and we are like, WHAT?!
Anyway, it’s the start of second sem. Hello’s and goodbye’s welcomed me. Hello for people that I don’t know and goodbye to some people I deeply know. I’m hoping that second sem will be a chance for me to improve my study habits. I’m positive about it!

December
PARTY LIKE IT’S THE OF THE WORLD! December for me was jam packed of parties, family, high school and college friends. Also, my longest girl friends and I went to visit our friend in UST for Paskuhan.
I really felt the Christmas outside our home. I’m so thankful that I had so much fun. I’m actually hoping that there would be a 32 in December.

My cup of coffee is almost empty and recalling my 2010 was very blissful and full of nostalgia. Now let me sum up my 12-months-journey in one word, LOVE! 525,600 minutes, how do you measure a year? What about love? HAHA Yes, 2010 is full of loving and I’m so thankful for God for making my year a rollercoaster ride. My fingers are crossed for the year ahead. Hope it would be better and still full of loving. So, 2011 please be good to me? :D

Christmas is Over, But I Hope It's Not for UPLB!

Christmas season is almost over!

Do you still remember the time, back when you were a kid (if you’re still a kid remember the first time, okay?! HAHA), where you will gather around the Christmas tree and put red shiny balls, lights and a big star or sometimes an angel on top of the tree? Haaaay I can only sigh, I really miss being a kid because as a child Christmas means a lot to me (like food, gifts, aguinaldos, family bonding etc.) and seeing our house light up (not by fire okay? HAHA) brings bliss to my feel.

Entering highschool, I didn’t help much when it comes to decorating our house because I’m not enjoying it as much as I did when I was still a kid. I was like me decorating? UNCOOL. Now I’m in college, they didn’t bother asking my help. You think its okay with me? Well at first it is but when I woke up this morning I was shocked because our house became the old same ordinary house I used to know, not the house with a Christmas feel to it. Usually they take off the decors around January 16 or when the celebration of the Three Kings ended but I guess traditions change.

Speaking of decorations, I wonder if they packed-up the big white Christmas tree, the nativity scene and the Santa Claus in UPLB? HMMMMMM I wish they didn’t because it’s the only way for me to feel like a child again in the middle of a great, cold and blissful Christmas season.

I remember the day when I went out for dinner with my friends in UPLB, it was a Thursday.

They’re so hype with the Christmas decors in CPark and all of them want to take pictures! Okay, honestly at first I didn’t think the decors in UPLB was that awesome not until I observed it really close and realize, uhh OKAY!

The tree is very creative, so much for a white Christmas tree! Maybe they’re going for that or maybe they don’t want to go back to our Filipino roots like last year’s tree which is made up of walis tingting (so clever!).

Santa Claus is coming to town! No he’s already in town! He’s in LB! Can you believe that? The only thing is I think he’s stuck LOL! Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and of course Rudolph are soo COOL! It will take a lot of effort to make Santa looks like his taking-off with his rein deers and I applaud that to whoever made that.

And for me, the most important part of Christmas the nativity scene. Who could go wrong with a Belen right? Maybe this one! JUST KIDDING of course, but never in my life have I seen a Belen with a second floor plus with no stairs or whatsoever! Anyway, the wood sculptures are of world-class quality. Kudos!

Over-all I think I can say that UPLB’s take on Christmas is very impressive (love your own! HAHA)! College is pretty hard and with these festive decors around the campus it somehow serves as a stress-reliever and a reminder that let’s be happy and positive because it’s Christmas season! And actually UPLB now makes me feel like a child in a middle of a wondrous home because of its decors. Corny? I thought so too, but hey it’s what I feel and I should stay true to what I feel. LOL! Nonetheless, I’m hoping that next Christmas our tradition as a family would be alive and the decors in UPLB would be better as ever! ;)
